Orthotics Have a Way of Spreading Relief

Orthotics are generally used to help support the feet through complications without electing for surgery. They can also, however, be used to promote healing after surgery as they can assist with providing support in injured areas of the feet. The most effective versions of these devices are custom made to fit the exact contours of your feet so that they precisely alter the burden off certain areas of the foot and help to lessen pain caused by a variety of other foot and ankle conditions. These devices can also align the foot, which can help mitigate unnecessary pain. The localized area of pressure being applied to certain areas of the foot may lead to inflammation. Orthotics can counteract the burden of those pressures by distributing body weight evenly down the foot.

Orthotics can also be used to:

· Treat conditions such as plantar fasciitis or tendinitis.

· Can be in the form of arch supports insoles. Arch supports help to balance high arches, low arches, and flat feet through supportive mechanisms that benefit feet. Insoles help to supply a softening effect on the foot.

· Heel liners can deliver an added comfort level to the heel and can also assist in alleviating pain caused by a wearing down of the heels surface.

· Foot cushions generate a space amongst the foot and shoe that can provide plenty of space and protection against many sources of friction.

Orthotics can make a positive difference in your foot and ankle health. Our custom orthotics can help to decrease pressure points at the heel and spread body weight over the entire surface area of the foot.
