Corns usually arrive on feet in a slow manner due to their nature. They can be curved and happen at the top of the feet. They usually form on the areas of feet that don't endure weight, but they can also occasionally occur on areas where weight is applied. This condition can form on the top or side of toes, and between the toes. They become painful as weight is applied, which gets worse over time. Corns form easier with deformities, such as when a bone in the foot is not in its normal place. They can become hard, and are found on the tops of toes when they do. When they’re soft however, they form between toes because sweat is concentrated in those areas. Factors that increase the chance of this condition occurring include wearing snug or overly loose-fitting shoes because they cause friction. Not wearing socks is another contributing factor.

Treatment for this condition involves:

· Rubbing the infected area with pineapple extract.

· Using oil of oregano.

· Chafing vinegar on the infected site.

· Wearing relaxed shoes with large toe boxes.

· Using orthotics to absorb shock when walking or running.

· Surgical removal by way of cutting off thin layers of skin from the infected location with a sharp blade.

· Homeopathy by using natural and herbal remedies to alleviate pain.

It is important to note that soft corns have a tendency of becoming infected, so proper care is the chief action to take to avoid complications. Although, all corns require timely treatment to ensure that they do not come back after being removed.
