Dr. Joel S. Segalman, FACFAS, FACFAO
Dr. Joel S. Segalman FACFAS, FACFAO is a board certified podiatric surgeon. He has been in private practice since 1991 with two convenient locations in Waterbury, CT and Newtown, CT. He is affiliated with Danbury Hospital, Waterbury Hospital, St. Mary's Hospital, and Naugatuck Valley Surgical Center in Waterbury, CT. Dr. Segalman is board certified by both the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. He has a special interest in sports medicine, orthotics, and state of the art laser treatment for all foot and ankle problems. Dr. Segalman is currently the consulting podiatrist for the New York Knicks, starting during the 2012 - 2013 NBA season. Dr. Stephen Lazaroff, DPM, AACFAS
Dr. Stephen Lazaroff, a native of North Haven, CT, graduated Cum Laude from American University in Washington, DC, earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology prior to earning his degree of Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from Temple University School of Podiatric Medicine. He completed a three-year residency from the Yale University Podiatric Medicine and Surgery Residency Program with extensive training in diagnostics, limb preservation, and reconstruction of the forefoot, rearfoot, and ankle. He is board qualified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery in foot surgery and reconstructive rearfoot and ankle surgery.
During residency, Dr. Lazaroff co-authored a textbook chapter discussing the surgical management of the neuropathic foot, presented at the regional complications conference, and attended the Orthofix external fixator course. Also, as a resident he was part of the multi-disciplinary limb preservation clinic, that included Podiatric Surgery, Interventional Cardiology, and Vascular Surgery. He was surgically trained by some of the most well known foot and ankle surgeons in the country, and looks forward to treating patients at Performance Foot & Ankle Specialists!
